    The Marine Corps recently completed a series of field tests in the California desert using new technology that includes a gun-equipped unmanned vehicle. Manufactured by General Dynamics, the Multi-Utility Tactical Transport Vehicle, or MUTT, is designed to relieve troops on foot.

    ​Officials at the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab say that the system will allow a single marine to maneuver a.50-caliber machine gun downrange, a task that ordinarily requires five people.
