Obama Approval Rating Hits New Low
The poll conducted by ORC International for CNN found that the biggest increase in Obama's approval rating comes from younger US nationals. Some 9 percent more support him among those aged 45 or younger. His approval rating fell by 1 percent among older generations. About 45 percent of respondents said they disapprove of Obama's policies.

The pollster interviewed 1,003 adult Americans on July 29-31, 2016 by telephone.

ORC International's previous poll for CNN, commissioned in June, showed a 52 percent approval rating for Obama.
