PHILADELPHIA (Sputnik) — Hundreds of protesters marched from Philadelphia City Hall to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) site in South Philadelphia against racial injustice, the US Democratic Party and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Tuesday.

Protesters vowed to "shut down the Democratic National Convention " in opposition of the Democratic Party’s policies they view as racist and biased.

The march is organized by the Workers World Party and the International Action Center.

Protesters are demanding self-government, reparations for the enslavement of African-Americans, liberation of women as well as individuals belonging to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community, and the abolition of capitalism and all forms of oppression, according to organizers.
