US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump condemned Munich attacks and said terrorism must be stopped before it reaches US territory.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump condemned Friday’s attacks in Munich, Germany and said terrorism must be stopped before it reaches US shores.

"Our prayers are with all those affected by the horrible attacks in Munich," Trump stated in a post on Facebook. "This cannot continue. The rise of terrorism threatens the way of life for all civilized people, and we must do everything in our power to keep it from our shores."

Earlier in the day, media reports emerged claiming that at least 15 were killed in a shooting in the Olympia shopping center in the Moosach borough of Munich. Later reports claimed that consequent shootings were taking place across the city.

Police have found a ninth body near the site of the Munich shooting and are checking whether the dead man is one of the attackers.
