WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The forum is being organized by local PeaceWorks group from Brunswick, Maine and it will be followed by a conference on the same issues in Toronto on July 20-21.
"The purpose is to share with our local community the story about the US sponsored [February 2014] coup d’etat in Kiev; tell the story about May 2, 2014 massacre at Odessa Trades Hall; talk about US role in the civil war and constant attacks on the people of the Donbass," Gagnon said.
Gagnon said the gathering would also discuss US-supported NATO military expansion up to Russia’s borders, the US deployment of missile defense systems in Romania and Poland and possible ways to end such policies.
"We are just glad that the local peace group requested this meeting – it shows that people are concerned about what the US is doing these days."
