MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Opinion polls have shown that slightly over a half of the US population favors repealing the 2010 Obamacare, which has been accused of unaffordable costs and overly tight regulations.
The 37-page blueprint offers a glimpse into a more market-based healthcare insurance system, with fundable tax credits to help people afford health insurance.
"In this plan, innovative, market-based, patient-centered solutions replace Obamacare’s one-size-fits-all, Washington-knows-best approach," the draft reads.
Republicans have been in opposition of US Democrat President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law since its adoption six years ago. They criticize it for increasing healthcare costs, reducing access to providers and restricting patients’ ability to choose a coverage plan.
