Hillary Clinton is getting unusual support for her Presidential campaign from the most unexpected places - a small Indian village far from anywhere.

New Delhi (Sputnik) — Rampur Maniharan may be a small village in Saharanpur district of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh but here the kids are well aware of the US Presidential elections and have more knowledge about US election than Indian elections. Students of this remote Indian village want to see Hillary Clinton as the next US President.

In the village one can find billboards and posters in support of Hillary Clinton; with students wearing ‘I support Hillary' badges and making speeches in favor of Hillary Clinton.

Even the village school is named after Hillary and Bill Clinton such as Bill Clinton School and Hillary Clinton Nursing School. In fact, these schools are run by the US based Indian entrepreneur Vinod Gupta who is friend of the Clintons.

Students have their reasons for their support, with the girls of the view that if Hillary Clinton wins then she will create as the first female US president which will be a big step for women worldwide.

Some students are of the view that Hillary Clinton will be friendly towards India like her husband and former US President Bill Clinton.

Impressed by the support for the Hillary Clinton, students from the neighboring villages have also pledged to support Hillary as the first woman president of US.

Whether it will help Hillary to win the race is a matter of discussion but it will definitely warm her heart to get support from such an unexpected quarter.
