The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is pursuing many leads in the investigation of Sunday’s mass shooting at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, FBI agent Ron Hopper said in a press briefing on Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Hopper called on the public to report any information about the attacker that would help "in developing the most complete picture of what the shooter did and why he did it."

"We have received volumes of information and leads and tips that we have been following up on and continue to follow up on," Hopper told reporters.

On Sunday, a 29-year old shooter opened fire in the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, killing 49 people and injuring at least 53 others. He was killed as police stormed the club.
