US House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan announced he will vote for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in the November election for president of the United States.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Ryan announced made the announcement via twitter on Thursday.

"I’ll be voting for Donald Trump this fall. I’m confident he will help turn the House GOP’s [Republican Party] agenda into laws," Ryan tweeted.

In the tweet, Ryan also linked to an article from a newspaper in his home state of Wisconsin which mentioned an opinion piece Ryan wrote on Thursday.

Ryan noted in the opinion piece that on the issues that make up the Republican Party’s agenda, there is more common ground than disagreement with Trump.

In the same opinion piece, Ryan also noted that the likely Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, represents everything the Republican agenda wants to fix.
