US Military Facility That Houses Air Force One On Lockdown Amid Bomb Threat
22:13 GMT 12.05.2016 (Updated: 10:57 GMT 06.08.2022) The main gate of Joint Base Andrews, just outside of the US capital, was on lockdown according to Air Force officials, in response to a woman who falsely claimed to have an explosive device.
The incident has ended with the individual in custody. She was not in possession of a bomb.
The air base houses the both of the presidential aircraft bearing the call sign Air Force One.
The incident did not affect JBA missions.
The incident began at approximately 5:15 pm and emergency services responded to the scene are on the scene.
