Two US military police (MP) units participated in the Warrior Exercise WAREX in the US state of California to boost their combat support capabilities, US Army Sgt. 1st Class Marcus Brown said on Monday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The two military police unites, which participated in the exercises, include the 160th Military Police Battalion from Tallahassee, Florida, and the 56th Military Police Company from Mesa, Arizona.

"An MP company can not only go out in the battlefield and be a force multiplier, but we can also be a quick reaction team. We can train local police and host nation police," Brown was quoted by the US Army as saying.

The training, carried out annually, lasted for more than two weeks, according to the US Army. It included individual training lanes and full-fledged field training exercises. The battalion from Florida focused on detainee operations and battlefield strategy, while the Arizona company specialized on combat support, the US Army said.
