WASHINGTON (Sputnik) —The sheriff’s office noted that a sheriff deputy sustained a knee injury and is being examined in hospital.
“Shooter confirmed deceased and two reported injured. Situation contained w/ NO threat to nearby school & community,” the message stated. “Shooter died from self inflicted gunshot wound.”
Harris County Sheriff’s spokesman Ryan Sullivan told Sputnik earlier on Wednesday that at 8:43 a.m. local time police responded to a report of shots fired at Knights Transportation at the 2400 block of Franz road in Harris County.
“Our high-risk operation unit, aerial support unit and mobile command unit have all been sent to the scene,” Sullivan noted.
