WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The 69-year-old Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton told a rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Wednesday evening that if elected to become the next US president in November, she would seek to serve two full terms until she was nearly 80.
Clinton is 68 and would be 69 when she became president if elected in November, making her the oldest US president in history to take office.
Ronald Reagan was still 68 when he took office in January 1980.
However, Clinton is five years younger than her only remaining Democratic challenger, Senator Bernie Sanders who is 74, and she is a few months younger than Republican Party frontrunner Donald Trump, who is 69.
Trump has criticized Clinton, in addition to criticizing her policies, claiming she has a low energy level.
