Two tractor trailers, one carrying beer and the other chips, crashed in Florida early Wednesday morning, scattering the makings of a party across the highway, blocking traffic, and saddening onlookers.

The crash occurred just after 3:30 a.m. on I-95 as the truck hauling beer made by Busch, a giant US brewing corporation reviled by independent beer enthusiasts, attempted to move into the center lane and swerved to avoid another driver. When he did that, he struck a truck full of snacks made by Frito-Lay, a giant US snack corporation reviled by people who like to eat real food, causing it to overturn.

No injuries were reported, but the driver of the Busch beer truck, Roverto Ferrer Rodriguez, 54, was ticketed for failing to maintain a single lane, Click Orlando reported. The driver of the Frito Lay truck, Zachary Basinger, 29, was not charged.

The drink-and-drive party-snack spill made a mess, and traffic was backed up as the Southbound lane of the highway was closed for a cleanup lasting four hours.

"We had a front-end loader come out and scoop all of the beer and chips  and pushed them to the right shoulder. We have two of the three lanes open now," Kim Montes, spokeswoman for the Florida Highway Patrol told Florida Today. "All of the products will be thrown away. They can't take the risk of them having some type of internal damage. They're still trying to get the chips and beer out of there," she added, referring to the highway.
