MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Trump deplored the "tremendous hatred" which, in his opinion, partially defines the religion.
"I think Islam hates us," Trump, who is the frontrunner of the Republican party, told CNN on Wednesday.
The businessman stressed that the war was against radical Islam, yet added that it was "very hard to define. It's very hard to separate. Because you don't know who's who."
"We have to be very vigilant. We have to be very careful. And we can't allow people coming into this country who have this hatred of the United States," the candidate stressed.
In December 2015, Trump proposed a "total and complete" ban for Muslims entering the United States. In November, he said on two separate occasions that Muslims were celebrating the September 11, 2001, extremist attacks in the United States and proposed a mandatory database of people of this religion.
