MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US presidential candidate Ted Cruz is currently leading in the Alaska caucus, the last of the states in the Super Tuesday primaries, garnering 36 percent of Alaskans' votes with 97 percent of the total number of precincts counted.

Second contender Donald Trump has taken 33 percent.

The candidates are vying for a total of 28 delegates from the state of Alaska.
