MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Jason Dalton, 45, reportedly admitted on Monday to opening fire at passersby in a buffet, a townhouse and a car dealership in the course of his five-hour rampage on Saturday, killing at least 6.
"None of the things that we did do in this case, if we made them somehow better, would have made any difference… There were no red flags, if you will, that we could anticipate things like this," Joe Sullivan, Uber's chief security officer, told reporters later Monday, as quoted by the CNBC television channel.
Investigators were reportedly searching for evidence at Dalton's home northwest of Kalamazoo to determine the motive behind the mass shooting.
The assault became the 24th mass shooting this month and the 42nd overall this year, according to the Mass Shooting Tracker.
