WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Senator Bernie Sanders promised in his concession speech after the Nevada caucus that Hillary Clinton and her super-political action committee (PAC) backed by Wall Street money is going to face a major challenge in 11 US states’ primaries on March 1, known as "Super Tuesday."
"We are going to take on a very powerful and well-funded super-PAC," Sanders told a cheering crowd. "We have a corrupt campaign finance system which is undermining American democracy. We will not allow millionaires and their super-PACs to continue to buy elections in the United States."
Sanders lost the Nevada caucuses to Clinton by 47 percent to her 52.2 percent of delegates from the state’s Democratic Party, but he set a confident tone and predicted he would defeat Clinton outright in different contests on Super Tuesday.
"We are going to be competing in 11 states across this country on Super Tuesday. And I believe on Super Tuesday we have an excellent chance to win many of those states."
Sanders focused on his core message that US democracy was being corrupted and destroyed by Wall Street financial power.
"I believe that when Democrats assemble in Philadelphia in July at that convention, we are going to see the results of one of the great political upsets in the history of the United States," Sanders stated during his concession speech.
Earlier on Saturday, Sanders called Clinton to congratulate her for winning the Nevada Democratic caucus.
The Democratic Party will hold its national convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from July 25 to July 28 to select its nominee for president of the United States.
