The US consulate in Istanbul announced on Tuesday that they have cancelled Wednesday’s consular services over "information about a possible security threat" against the mission.

"We strongly encourage U.S. citizens to maintain a high level of vigilance, be aware of local events, and take the appropriate steps to bolster your personal security," a statement on the consulate's website reads.

Urgent services will still be available and US diplomatic missions in other parts of Turkey will remain unchanged and operate normally. No further information has been revealed regarding the threat.
