The suspected gunman of the shooting at the Planned Parenthood clinic in the US state of Colorado spoke about abortion and politics when he was getting questioned by the police, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Friday, a gunman barricaded himself in the abortion provider Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs after killing three people and injuring nine. He was later surrendered to the police.

According to the NBC News network’s Saturday report, the man said "no more baby parts" in reference to the clinic as he was being questioned. The law enforcement sources also told the media outlet that the assailant mentioned US President Barack Obama. The extent of how much the remarks played in the incident is not yet clear, the sources stressed.

The Second Amendment to the US Constitution guarantees the right of US citizens to keep and bear arms. Additionally, opponents of the proposed measures claim there are enough laws on the books regulating gun purchases.

Following the incident, Obama has called for limiting access to firearms.
