Two teenagers were injured in a shooting in Phoenix, the capital and largest city of the southwestern US state of Arizona, on Sunday night, local media reported Monday citing local police.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to ABC15 Arizona, one of the wounded was shot in the arm, while the other received a gunshot to the leg in the west of the city. Both were transported to hospital.

It is the second similar episode that happened over the weekend in Phoenix. Around 4 a.m. local time on Sunday (11:00 GMT) a 24-year old man was killed and a teenager was injured after a fight broke out in the crowd of some 400 people at a Halloween party, the media reported.

The Second Amendment to the US Constitution guarantees the right of US citizens to keep and bear arms. Gun violence and tougher gun controls remain in the spotlight of the political debate in the country.
