Slumber Party Guests at Clinton White House Still Funneling Cash to Hillary

Big “Fat Cat” donors to former President Bill Clinton were rewarded with overnight stays at the White House, and many of them are still writing checks to the family today.

The Center for Public Integrity tracked and listed donors whose nights in the Lincoln bedroom lead to investigations, in their 1996 report titled, “Fat Cat Hotel,” Yahoo News reported.

Of the original 80 donors from the list, 66 are still alive and 34 of them have donated a total of $1.15 million to Hillary Clinton’s campaign or super PACs that support her.

“Last time I stayed in the Queen’s Bedroom, so I need to be upgraded to the Lincoln Bedroom,” former Florida state Rep. Dick Batchelor told Yahoo.

“I have no idea whether that would take place or not, but anybody who says they don’t want to visit the White House and spend the night is probably not telling the truth. If I had an opportunity to go back, I would absolutely go back,” he added. “I need to return the towels.”

The sleepovers lead to not only the press looking for information, but a government investigation as well.

“In this stampede to use the White House for every conceivable variety of fundraiser, a number of alarmingly unsavory characters gained access to the President in return for campaign contributions. One was Chinese arms dealer Wang Jun. Roger Tamraz, a major DNC donor, was allowed to meet with the President on several occasions despite the NSC's opposition and clear warnings that Tamraz might damage U.S. foreign policy interests in Central Asia,” the executive summary of the final report of the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee's "Investigation on Illegal or Improper Activities in Connection With The 1996 Federal Election Campaigns," outlined.

Records released in 1997 showed that 938 guests had spent the night at the White House during the Clinton’s first term, while only 284 had sleepovers under George Bush Sr.’s administration.

It seems as though the Clinton’s used their time in the White House to create a quite lucrative donor set-up, as the slumber partiers are still forking out cash, over a decade later.
