WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Classes will resume at Mississippi State University after authorities determined no shots were fired in what was earlier reported as a suspected active shooter situation, the university said on Twitter on Thursday.
"No injuries reported at this time," the university said. "There is no report at this time of any shots that have been fired."
The university said all is clear and classes will resume in the afternoon.
Earlier, the university said one person was in custody.
