People in the US state of New Jersey marched against police brutality on Saturday, following the death of African-American woman Sandra Bland under unclear circumstances while in police custody.

Scores of people gathered on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey, in the US, to protest against police brutality, racial injustice and economic inequality.

The protesters rallied following a series of police abuses, primarily against African-Americans. Most recently, Sandra Bland, an African-American woman in Texas, was found dead in her jail cell three days after being arrested following a minor traffic incident.
