WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Tallahassee police and Big Bend Bomb Squad are currently at the scenes with K-9 units investigating the grounds of the Armory, local media said.
Police units were also seen at a Tallahassee shopping center near East Park Avenue and Capital Circle around 10:00 a.m. (3:00 p.m. GMT), but it is unknown whether their presence there is related to the bomb threat at the Armory.
The bomb threat comes just days after a gunman, Mohammad Youssef Abdulazeez, killed five servicemen at the US Naval Reserve Center and the military recruiting center in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Thursday.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has not found any connections between the shooter and the Islamic State or another terrorist organization, but it continues to investigate the gunman's telephone, computer and other records.
