WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Just minutes earlier on Thursday, local authorities said they were responding to a bomb threat at the site of the Charleston mass shooting, where citizens had gathered to take part in a vigil.
“Bomb threat at 15 Morris Street is all clear,” the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office said via Twitter.
The threat came a day after a gunman shot and killed nine people at the AME Church in Charleston.
The US Department of Justice has launched a hate crime probe into the incident.
