A motorcycle rider has been taunting police in Houston and now police are seeking help in identifying the rider and bringing him to justice.

According to police, the cyclist has been provoking officers in Harrison County for the past several months.

Most recently, police say he pulled up to a patrol car on the 18000 block of Stuebner Airline and kicked it before fleeing and running a red light. An officer followed the rider and called off the chase when they reached Louetta, where the cyclist made a U-turn and charged at the officer at 170 miles-per-hour.

“We need to get him identified,” said Constable Mark Herman. “Traveling that fast, it’s just a matter of time before some innocent family is going to be driving down the road, pull out in front of this guy. The speeds are just totally too dangerous to be on our public roadways.”

Police believe the man lives in Harris County. Although he was wearing a helmet, they hope someone would recognize the rider or the bike. If caught, the cyclist would be looking at felony evading arrest charges.
