US Job Creation Declines by 48,000 in February

ADP Research Institute stated that job creation in the United States declined in February as 48,000 fewer jobs were created than in January.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Job creation in the United States declined in February as 48,000 fewer jobs were created than in January, according to the February ADP Research Institute’s National Employment Reports.

“Private sector employment increased by 212,000 jobs from January to February,” the statement, issued on Wednesday, said.

US small businesses saw the most growth with 94,000 jobs created in the private sector, according to the statement.

Medium and large businesses each created 63,000 and 56,000 jobs, respectively.

The number of jobs among US producers increased by 31,000 in February, while there were 181,000 new jobs in the service sector, the statement said.

The ADP Research Institute provides payroll services, employee benefits administration and human capital management solutions for businesses.
