WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The US Army has issued a $415 million contract for the management of military training systems, defense contractor General Dynamics said in a statement on Monday.
“A General Dynamics-led team has been awarded the Live Training Transformation (LT2) Consolidated Product-line Management (CPM) Next contract by the U.S. Army,” the statement said. “The CPM Next award is a five-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a total potential value of $415 million.”
With the contract, General Dynamics will be responsible for managing systems that support training on 300 ranges throughout the United States. According to the US Army, LT2 systems cover training in urban military operations, maneuver combat, and live-fire range training.
General Dynamics is one of the largest US defense contractors headquartered in the US state of Virginia.
