Twenty-two US marines injured during a military exercise in an incident involving a fire extinguisher system are in stable condition, the Combat Center at Twentynine Palms said. The incident took place in at the base in California.

The marines of 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, were travelling in an assault amphibious when a fire extinguisher system inadvertently discharged. They received medical treatment at a local facility.
