MOSCOW, January 11 (Sputnik) — A father of a patient has reportedly taken at least two people hostage inside Tomball Regional Medical Center in the US state of Texas, the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) said early Sunday in a Twitter post.

The HCSO added it is still unknown whether the hostage-taker is armed. Police have deployed a High Risk Operation Unit to the hospital located at 605 Holderrieth Boulevard in the Texan city of Tomball, which is to the northwest of Houston.
Texan police arrived at the scene at 8 p.m. local time (2:00 GMT), ABC News reported. On-call police information officer Lt. Ambriz has also been dispatched to the site of the incident, the police press office said.
