Nearly all polling stations across the contiguous 48 United States are closed on Tuesday evening as Republican incumbent President Donald Trump faces off against his rival, Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

The last voters were seen entering polling stations in Washington DC minutes before they closed on Tuesday, as vote counting began nationwide in the 2020 presidential elections.

Republican President Donald Trump is seeking a second four-year term in the election, while his Democrat challenger Joe Biden hopes to unseat him to become the 46th president of the United States.
