Demonstrators have gathered outside the Scottish parliament building in Edinburgh to call for Scotland's independence. According to the organisers - the "All Under One Banner" pro-independence movement - the protesters are also pushing against a "vicious attack" by London that seeks to "neuter and close the Scottish parliament". The protests come amid Westminster's plans for a new internal market, which Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon dubbed as "roughshod over the powers of the Scottish parliament".
