MYTISHCHI, Moscow Region, November 11 (R-Sport) - Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Fedor Tyutin will sign for Atlant Moscow Region, the KHL team’s coach said.

At his new team, Tyutin will team up with Boston Bruins goaltender Anton Khudobin, who has already made 15 appearances for Atlant since moving to KHL in September.

“Fedor Tyutin will join our team in the nearest future,” acting coach Alexander Smirnov told journalists Saturday.

Atlant has yet to sign a permanent coach after firing Janne Karlsson last month, and the 2011 Gagarin Cup finalist is languishing in 12th place in the Western Conference with eight wins in 23 games.

Tyutin, 29, was a second-round draft pick for the New York Rangers in 2001 and made his NHL debut in 2004.

In a total of eight season with New York and Columbus, he has scored 194 points in 582 NHL games.

Tyutin won the world championships with Russia in 2008.
