Both teams are in Group F of Euro 2020 - the so-called "group of death" that contains the last two FIFA World Cup winners – Germany and reigning champions France – as well as Portugal (UEFA Euro 2016 and 2018-19 UEFA Nations League winners).

Sputnik is live from outside Munich's Allianz Arena as football fans and team buses are arriving at the stadium ahead of the Germany vs Portugal clash.

Germany earlier lost 1-0 to France, while Portugal prevailed over Hungary, clinching a 3-0 victory.

Euro 2020 kicked off on 11 June and is expected to wrap up on 11 July. Originally scheduled for 2020, it was postponed until this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
