MOSCOW (Sputnik) — An ARAF elections conference is taking place in Moscow on Friday. Shliakhtin received 36 votes in the second tour, while Olympic high jump champion Andrei Silnov gained 31 votes.
Earlier in the day, ARAF Secretary General Mikhail Butov and Russian pole vaulter Elena Isinbayeva withdrew their candidacies from the election.
