    Russian gymnast David Belyavskiy won on Tuesday a bronze medal in men's parallel bars competition at 2016 Rio Olympics.

    RIO DE JANEIRO (Sputnik) — Belyavskiy, 24, scored 15.783 points to reach the third place in the finals. Ukraine's Oleg Verniaiev took the first place with 16.041 points, followed by US athlete Danell Leyva, who scored 15.900 points.

    The Summer Olympic Games are being held in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro from August 5 until August 21. Brazil is the first South American country to host the competition.
