Russian gymnast Denis Abliazin finished third in men’s rings final and won bronze at the Rio Olympics.

RIO DE JANEIRO (Sputnik) – Russian gymnast Denis Abliazin won bronze at the Rio Olympics men’s rings final Monday, bringing his country the 31st overall medal on the 11th day of the Summer Games.

Abliazin’s score of 15.700 was bested by Greece’s Eleftherios Petrounias, who finished 16.000 points for in difficulty and execution. Arthur Zanetti, who represents the host country Brazil, won silver with 15.766 points.

With Abliazin's bronze, the Russian men's and women's team now boasts six medals in artistic gymnastics.
