Russian long jumper Darya Klishina, who was the only Russian athlete allowed by IAAF to participate in Rio Olympics, was banned from the Games, a source told R-Sport on Saturday.

RIO DE JANEIRO (Sputnik) — The IAAF’s decision was based on additional findings of the McLaren investigation into doping allegations against Russian athletes, the source added.

"This is an individual case of Klishina against the IAAF, no one else has anything to do with it, the case is being led by Klishina’s representatives without the participation of the [Russian] Ministry of Sport or OCR [Olympic Committee of Russia]. IAAF has not sent the recall of the accreditation to the IOC as it is awaiting the decision of CAS, which will follow in the next 24 hours," the source told the agency.

Klishina has already filed an appeal which would be reviewed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in 24 hours
