The International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) has banned two out of five Russian modern pentathletes from competing in Rio.

These Russian Athletes Are Going to Rio Olympics Amid Doping Scandal
MOSCOW (Sputnik) –Russia’s modern pentathletes Maksim Kustov and Ilia Frolov have been disqualified from the upcoming Rio Olympics, the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) said on its website Tuesday, which added that Aleksander Lesun, Donata Rimshayte and Gulnaz Gubaidulina have been cleared to compete.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC), in its announcement on Sunday, delegated to individual international federations the decision whether to ban Russian athletes from the August 5-21 games.
