MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin is not planning a meeting with Thomas Bach, the president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in the foreseeable future, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.
"No, there are no such meetings coming up," Peskov told reporters answering a corresponding question.
On Monday, an independent World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) commission led by Canadian law professor Richard McLaren presented a report, accusing Russia of overseeing a state-wide doping program. Following the release of the report, the IOC said on Tuesday that it would "explore the legal options with regard to a collective ban of all Russian athletes for the Olympic Games 2016 versus the right to individual justice."
