WADA Report Accuses Russian Ministry, FSB of Doping Сoverup at Sochi Games
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — An investigation commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) said in a report published today that Russia had been running a state-sponsored doping scheme for years. The inquiry was opened on claims by Grigory Rodchenkov, the former head of the Russian doping lab in Moscow.

"It is absurd to make such claims based on information obtained from Rodchenkov. We [ARAF] have never been involved in this," Valentin Balakhnichev told R-Sport news agency. "The 2013 championships were clean, spotless."

"They are using the negative image that our federation has received without any ground or evidence in order to strengthen the position of [investigation leader Richard] McLaren," Balakhnichev added.
