Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said he will not fly to Lausanne, Switzerland on Tuesday when the International Olympic Committee (IOC) holds a summit on the fate of Russian athletes.

TOULOUSE (Sputnik) — The IOC meeting is expected to discuss whether Russian athletes should be punished collectively over allegations of systemic doping. Russia argues that clean athletes should be allowed to go to the 2016 Rio Olympics.

"Russia will be represented there [in Lausanne] by [Russian Olympic Committee head Alexander] Zhukov, therefore I am not going," Mutko told the R-Sport news agency.
