ZURICH (Sputnik) — No candidate managed to score the required two-thirds majority in the first FIFA presidential voting round on Friday.
Jordan's Prince Ali bin Hussein received 27 votes, France's Jerome Champagne received 7 votes, while Bahrain's Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa and Swiss-Italian Gianni Infantino received 85 and 88 votes, respectively.
The football governing body's new president will be elected in a second voting round.
