According to R-Sport report, Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva broke the world record in the women’s singles short program.

YEKATERINBURG (Sputnik) Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva broke the world record in the women’s singles short program  during an event in Yekaterinburg, R-Sport reported on Friday.

Medvedeva scored 79.44 points for her number, beating the previous world record set by Japan’s Mao Asada (78.66 points) during the world championships in 2014.
