Russia’s Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said that the IAAF will consider Russia's request to allow athletes to compete under the flag of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia’s Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko said Sunday he hoped that during the All-Russia Athletic Federation (ARAF) suspension by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Russian athletes would be able to compete at international competitions under the flag of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).

"Hopefully, IAAF will consider our request to allow our athletes to compete under the flag of the ROC, our National Olympic Committee, during these three months while ARAF membership is suspended," Mutko told reporters.
