Football: Russia Beat Moldova 2-1 in Euro-2016 Qualifier

Russia defeated Moldova 2-1 on Friday in a penultimate match of the Euro-2016 qualifying round.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Group G game, which took place in Moldova capital, Chisinau, featured a defensive style of play by both sides.

Russia's Sergei Ignashevich opened the score on the 58th minute, followed by Artyom Dzyba's goal on the 78th minuted.

Moldova's Eugeniu Chebotaru responded with a goal on the 85th minute.

With this win, Russia maintains second place in Group G standings, and will face Montenegro in the final qualifying game on October 12 in Moscow.
