Russian Sports Minister Denies FIFA Arrests Tied to 2018, 2022 World Cups
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, several FIFA officials were arrested in Zurich, Switzerland, and could face extradition to the US on federal corruption charges, including fraud, racketeering, money laundering, as well as corruption in marketing and broadcasting deals over the last 20 years.

The Guardian reported that Swiss authorities would question 10 FIFA Executive Committee members over the issue, including Mutko.

“Let them write what they want. But nobody has called me in anywhere. And if I do get called in, it will be not only me, but all members of the executive committee. As for now, I have no information about this,” Mutko told R-Sport.

The minister said it was possible Swiss investigators would wish to speak to the committee later on, adding that he had nothing to hide and would gladly cooperate.
