Russian figure skaters Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin were third in ice dance at Skate America competition in Chicago, Illinois.

MOSCOW, October 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russian figure skaters Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin were third in ice dance at Skate America competition in Chicago, Illinois.

Russians Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin were third with143,87 points in the ice dance competition at Skate America, which has finished late on Saturday. Americans Madison Chock and Evan Bates won the ice dance with 171,03 points. Another American duet of Maia and Alex Shibutani ranked second with 160,33.

Another set of medals was awarded in men’s singles where the Japanese Skater Tatsuki Machida has won with 269,09 points, American Jason Brown was second with 234,17 and Canadian Nam Nguyen was third with 232,24. Russians Adian Pitkeev and Arthur Gachinski were respectively sixth and ninth.

Skate America is an international senior-level figure skating competition organized by the United States Figure Skating Association. Medals are awarded in four disciplines: men’s singles, ladies’ singles, pair skating and ice dance. The 2014 Skate America is being held on October 24-26 in Hoffman Estates - the northwestern suburb of Chicago, Illinois.
