MOSCOW, July 17 (R-Sport) – Douglas Teixeira, a former defender for Dutch football club Twente, is set to sign for Dynamo Moscow, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported on Wednesday.

After his contract with Twente expired on July 1, the 25-year-old is set to ink a three-year deal with Dynamo manager Dan Petrescu's side.

Douglas, who is known by his first name, was born in Brazil but moved to the Netherlands in 2007 and scored 15 goals in 162 games over six seasons with Twente, receiving Dutch citizenship along the way in 2011.

He claimed an Eredivise title in 2010 and the cup in 2011.

After being called up to the Dutch national team last October, Douglas was linked with a move to other Russian sides Anzhi Makhachkala and FC Kuban.

Dynamo has lost star striker Alexander Kokorin to Anzhi this summer, but recent reinforcements include Rubin Kazan forward Vladimir Dyadyun and midfielder Alan Kasaev on a season-long loan.

The team started the 2013-14 season with a disappointing 2-2 home draw against FC Volga.
